Here at Art’s RV we’ve consigned many previously owned campers of all makes, models, years, shapes, and sizes. All loved by the prior caretakers entrusted to the future campers of the world. Occasionally one comes along that breaks all prior notions of what a motorhome could be, given time and inspiration the love of a camper turns into an expression of the individual. The Fleetwood Tioga is a camper worthy of this love. Our 2008 Fleetwood Tioga 31M has received a lifetime’s worth.
Bold earthy brown paint saturates all sides of this glorious machine accented with bright blue striping on all sides. I can guarantee you it’s not going to look like any other camper going down the road today.
Starting as soon as you enter, the original folding couch has been done away with in favor of a much more comfortable household equivalent, held to the deck by bolts so it’s not going anywhere unless you want to remove it. Across the now vast room the original dinette was gutted to make room for a custom butcher block folding dining table flanked by black household quality cabinetry custom fitted to the slide out. The cabinet wood faces of the refrigerator right next to the new dining area have been painted black to seamlessly blend into space. Back to the other end of the room the kitchen has been redone with a new wallpaper backsplash, countertop veneer, and all white cabinet paint job.
Descending further into the camper you forget you’re in a motorhome, the hallway leading to the bedroom feels like it belongs in a house. With the colossal windows bringing in a bounty of natural light it opens up a normally ignored and crammed section of a camper, the transitional space from the front portion to the rear, and turning it into a centerpiece which cannot be ignored. The reason why the hallway is hugging the outer wall is because the spacious full bathroom is right in the middle of the action, with passthrough entry at both the front of the hallway and the master bedroom. Cabinets once again repainted this time with a dark evergreen tone that livens up the room.
More than anything else our Fleetwood Tioga represents a crossroads of potential. You can accept this custom masterpiece the way it is or tear everything out and start again, the world is your oyster. It’s a showcase of what’s possible, pushing the envelope and rethinking what the inside of a motorhome is supposed to look like.
